How to write JSX script to embed other psd into current document

Hello all, Developer here, trying to create a script to help me create a large photoshop document. I have a list of file names, and the x/y positions (I can change this input in any way to make it easier for PS to read). All of the file names are an existing .psd file. If I were to do this manually, I would do:1. File > Place embedded... > Select the file from my file browser > Ok2. Set the X and Y coordinates for the newly embeded object(however, I'd need to do this over 400 times manually, thus the script) I have tried my absolute best to navigate the PDF documentation (wtf Adobe), but I can't even figure out how to embed an existing .pdf file into the current document from a file path (I've seen some examples of using a filepicker, but that doesn't work). Without even getting past that I don't know how to place it via the X/Y coords. Any help would be greatly appreciated! Please let me know if there's any more information I can provide to help.

Photoshop Toolbar Missing Icons & Key Icons Missing from Edit Toolbar

Hi all -- I really need HELP. PSD has evolved so much  AND I am not super technical. So, before I attempt that solution, I'd like to know if Sameer K's fix is still the right solution for today's Photoshop. Thank you in advance for your help!! Here are the details:Adobe Photoshop 2024 - PC Desktop - Windows 10Opened Photoshop last week Icons missing from toolbar  (see three photos below) When I click to CHOOSE a tool within a specific field in the toolbar some icons are there, but IMPORTANT tools are missing (move, crop, brush tools, etc)   (see three photos below)  Important tools missing from edit > toolbar view (move, crop, brush tools, etc) (see three photos below) Logged into Adobe CC - Updated Photoshop Tool icons were there when I relaunched Photoshop Today, a week later, the tool icons are MIA Logged into Adobe CC for other updates (no other PSD updates since I updated last week) Closed/relaunched Photoshop several times Toolbar icons still missing and important tools still

Instagram, correct file to have a transparent background?

Is it possible to upload an image to Instagram that fhas a transparent background? I have a .png file that when viewed has rounded corners. It works fine but when posted to Instagram I get the transparency replaced with a colour. I can’t set this to a specific colour as the image sits on either a grey or red background. If it is possible what file format should I use?

Camera Raw Filter causes Photoshop to freeze

I updated Photoshop to 26.6.1 today and have not been able to use Camera Raw Filter successfully. Photoshop will freeze and require a force quit. Is anyone else experiencing this problem on Windows 10?

Issues with Pen Tablet drawing delay

I've had this issue forever and spent countless hours searching for fixes on Google without being able to fix it.https://youtu.be/uzwv5bS1F1MCurrently using Photoshop 26.6.1, but this has been happening for a while now.  I can't remember for how long.Hardware:Wacom Intuos 16Intel i9-12900K 3.20GHz32GB RAMGeForce 4060TiSamsung 580 EVO 500GB SSDI don't believe this is a hardware issue, as I have no issues in other apps or other drawing programs.  I prefer using Photoshop because it's just what I'm used to, but I am heavily considering going to a different program due to this issue.When I press the pen down, it doesn't immediately draw with ANY brush that has Pen Pressure settings turned on.  I must leave a certain radius before it actually starts to draw, resulting in being unable to draw very small details unless I'm super zoomed in.What I've tried: - Restarting Computer - Restarting Photoshop - Reinstalling tablet drivers - Reinstalling Photoshop - Restarting tablet services / drivers

photoshop 2025 not offering to download photos from my iphone

In the past, whenever opening organizer, it would offer me the option to download to photoshop all new photos on my iphone.  Recently, it is not offering to do this.  I really love this feature but can't figure out why it is not doing it.  Any suggestions would be appreciated.

I have the most updated version of Photoshop CC2018.  I am trying to open an .eps file and I keep getting the error: "Could not complete your request because Photoshop was unable to parse the postscript".  It would open them before.  HELP

✏️ What are your favorite retouching techniques in Photoshop?

 Whether you’re going deep with frequency separation, shaping light with dodge and burn, or testing out the latest Neural Filters and AI tools, there’s a world of techniques to explore. And while we all have our personal style and process, it’s always fascinating to see how others get to their final result.   My own process depends on the project, but I often start with healing and cleanup using the Spot Healing Brush and Clone Stamp, then move into frequency separation for skin work. I use dodge & burn on a 50% gray layer for more dimensional lighting, then finish with some selective sharpening on the eyes and hair. I’ve also started experimenting with Generative Fill for small background fixes!   What about you?What’s your go-to retouching workflow in Photoshop? Many of you have asked about custom brushes for Photoshop on the iPad. Starting with version 2.5, you can load brushes into the app and then access them from the brushes panel. Brush files can be downloaded from either the bush panel in the app or Adobe.com on a web browser. Follow the steps below to try it for yourself.  ❶ In the toolbar, Long press on the brush icon () to display the Brushes panel.   ❷ Tap the '+' icon at the bottom.   ➌ Click on Discover new brushes to find and download free brushes from Kyle Webster’s web page in your web browser. Let the Remove tool take care of the details so your subjects can truly shine.  To learn how to use the Remove tool and the new Remove Distractions, click here. Simply select the Remove tool (nested with the Spot Healing tool), then choose Find Distractions from the Options menu. Pick either Wires and Cables or People based on your image. Photoshop will automatically remove wires or let you edit people as needed. You can select the Mode for how you want Photoshop to process the image: with Generative AI, Without AI, or leave it on Auto.

Expand your image to fit a frameHave you ever wished you could extend a photo to make it wider or taller to fit into a frame? If so, then you should try Generative Expand, another Firefly-powered generative AI feature in Photoshop for both desktop and web. You can find this feature in the Crop tool. It lets you expand and resize the canvas and then fills in the space with generative content that blends with your image.
